First consult...
This first time you come into the clinic we allow 45minutes; this gives us a good amount of time to get to know you and what's brought you in!
The initial 10-15minutes are spent getting a good idea of what's been happening to cause you pain and then take an overall health history to understand if something else is playing a part in what's brought you in. From here we go to an assessment of not just the injured area but also surrounding structure to align with osteopathic principles. This assessment then allows us to tailor treatment to you specifically whilst discussing future management plans & goal for us to work towards
The return consults...
The time we use to check in; see how you felt post your last consult and what's changed. We use these 30minutes to re-assess how your body has adapted to treatment and any potential exercise rehabilitation provided whilst considering any concerns or new goals you may have
Yes we do!
Please note, you will need a current “Team Care Arrangement” or “Chronic Disease Management Plan” referral from your GP if eligible to access the Medicare rebate. Please note this clinic does not bulk bill care plans and there is gap payment. The current Medicare rebate is $58.30. A full fee payment is required at the time of the consultation and the rebate processed online the same day.
For any TAC or Workcover patients a current claim number is required prior to appointments. Please note that there is a gap fee for both TAC and Workcover. A full fee payment is required at the time of the consultation and a complete invoice will be provided for ease of claiming.
During the consult we may ask you to partially disrobe. A gown is available if preferred & during treatment we will use towels to cover as much as possible. It is recommended that you wear loose fitting pants/tops that you are comfortable moving in. If possible, women should wear bras that may unclasp at the back where appropriate.
No referrals are needed to see an Osteopath
